Dubrovnik, that stunning jewel on the Adriatic Sea is everything people say it is. And more. The orange of the tile roofs of the old city against the purest blue of the waters is an unforgettable sight. Bewitched, we walked along the walls on a beautiful (and hot) day, peering down into the streets and getting glimpses of everyday life with hanging laundry and backyard gardens. And after coming back to ground level, we wandered the streets built on different levels dotted with little shops and restaurants. So much to see and I hope I can go back there one more time before heading back home.
These are simple pictures taken with my cell phone. Because I was almost giddy with excitement about visiting Croatia and had packed my camera, lenses, extra storage cards and my computer……and left the camera battery still charging at home (sigh). And like all my travel pictures, these are nothing remarkable but mostly to preserve my memories….pictures that I can go back to whenever wanderlust strikes 🙂
